Germany 2015/16 | school program
I went abroad partly because my parents reacted badly to my coming out. I was abroad and suddenly everything was possible. I was also in contact with QueerTausch and it helped me to dare to tell my host parents that I'm bi. I also had a brief relationship during my gap year and the security of being far away allowed me to be much more free. I have also become much more self-confident after my year abroad. In my work with young people at AFS as a volunteer, I was also able to support them in recognizing their identities and living more freely.
